Roadworthy Certificates

Singh's Tyre and Auto Centre (Pakenham) are a VicRoads licensed Vehicle Tester and can perform Inspections and issue Certificates of Roadworthiness (RWC).

A roadworthy inspection is a limited type of vehicle inspection. If a vehicle is not roadworthy, then it cannot be used on a public road until passed by an authorised person.

A roadworthy is required whenever a vehicle's sold, if it's being re-registered and to clear some defect notices. It includes inspecting:

  • wheels and tyres
  • steering, suspensions and braking systems
  • seats and seatbelts
  • lights and reflectors
  • windscreen, and windows including front wipers and washers
  • vehicle structure
  • other safety related items on the body, chassis or engine
